The 2006/07 season has been one of our most successful seasons to date, with 42 games played in 32 Clubs across the UK, involving over 1000 players and raising significant funds for a wide range of charities and voluntary organisations.
And we couldn’t have done it without your help. From our highest capped
player, David Marsh, who played in his 91st Football Aid game this season, our
fabulous fundraisers (who between them cycled around all the London Football
clubs, over the Brecon Beacons in Wales, and organised a James Bond Casino
night) and to our Football Aid fans from around the world – the Sanchez-Myles
brothers who once again flew all the way from America to take part and to
Jonathan Thorpe, who jetted back from his around the world trip to play at
Anfield!
In addition, there would be no Football Aid without the support of our
participating Clubs, Leagues and Associations and the following key partners:
Bank of Scotland, Barclays, Clicktools, Concept Group, Former Players and
Football Aid Ambassadors, LMA, Nike, PFA, Referees, SFA and BT Scotland,
SportsCover Direct, Sporting ID, Sky Sports, Umbro Isotonic, Talksport.
Without your support, none of our work would be possible. On behalf of
Football Aid and Field of Dreams, and the thousands of people we have helped
over the last six years, we offer our sincere thanks.
